Guided Exhibition Tour: Štědrý Diviš

We invite you to a guided tour of our current exhibition, Štědrý Diviš. Both artists will guide us through the gallery and share the stories behind their works. Join us for an evening dedicated to exceptional art.

🖌️ Stanislav Diviš

A legend of the Czech art scene and co-founder of the iconic art group Tvrdohlaví. In the 1980s, he helped initiate the semi-official Konfrontace exhibitions, and later spent many years heading the painting studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM).

Beyond painting, you may also know him as the lead singer and frontman of the band Krásné nové stroje.

🎨 Karel Štědrý

A prominent figure of the younger generation of artists who studied under Diviš at UMPRUM and co-founded the OBR art group. He has been exhibiting his work for an impressive 20 years and shares a passion for geometry with Stanislav Diviš.

Karel Štědrý’s artistic language has been shaped by street art, digital painting, and the legendary Czech building set, Merkur.
