About us

Beseder Gallery is a unique industrial space in Prague's Libeň district, open to a broad range of culture — from visual art and photography to theatre, concerts, lectures, and private events.

The gallery's mission is to spread local and international projects in visual art, music, and other cultural fields, enriching Prague's cultural life, particularly in the Libeň and Vysočany neighbourhoods.

The gallery is part of a wider cultural complex, adjoining Restaurace Beseder and the Pivovar Kolčavka microbrewery, near the O2 Arena and the Galerie Harfa shopping centre.

Concepts

  • An industrial space

A former industrial hall in Libeň that makes no attempt to look like a white cube — brick, steel trusses, and factory windows are part of the exhibition experience.

  • A neighbourhood programme

Workshops, chamber concerts, and author readings sit alongside the exhibition programme, opening the gallery to people who might not otherwise walk into a vernissage.

  • A permanent collection

The core of the collection is late-19th-century work, used as a reference point for the curatorial direction of the shorter contemporary-art exhibitions.
