Date: 28.07.2021 - 19:00
For July and August 2021, we were originally preparing a very special exhibition of 8 Peruvian artists - "PERU 200",
which would celebrate 200 years of Peruvian independence - in three exhibitions:
- individual exhibition of Kendrick Nils Dreyfus from Pucallpa.
- individual exhibition of Natalya Eddem Lizárraga Conchatupa from Cusco.
- and finally a large group exhibition of 8 Peruvian artists in addition to Dreyfus and Conchatupa; Edson René Chacón Huari, Dario Jara Morante, Karina Loayza Vargas, Frederick Alberto Olivera Gonzales, Delfina Nina and Grisa Camargo.
However, due to the circumstances, it was not possible to transport the artworks from Peru in the end, and all three exhibitions are postponed most probably to 2022 - 2023.
For FIESTAS PATRIAS ~ July 28 ~ Peru's national holiday and the 200th anniversary of Peruvian independence, we plan to do at least screening of a "virtual art exhibition" prepared by the group of all 8 Peruvian artists especially for our gallery.
The curators are Natalya Lizarrága and Karina Loayza:
The commemoration of the bicentennial of Peru leads us to reflect on the different processes from the declaration of independence, it also allows us to observe the different changes that occurred in Peru these 200 years of republic as a society.
Peru is a diverse, social and cultural country, this diversity is one of the bases and wealth of the peruvian society.
In this exhibition we present part of that richness with proposals and interpretations that are approached from different visual aesthetics of eight peruvian artists.
You can also look forward to live concert of RIMAO & LOS TRIOLLOS international band from Peru, Chile, Colombia and Spain, which will start at 7pm.
