Beseder Gallery

Date: 17.9. od 19:00 hodin

Come to Beseder Gallery on Wednesday, September 17, at 7 p.m. for a screening of short films shot by Jaroslav Fišer.

In recent years, Jaroslav Fišer has not only been involved in photography, but also works as a cameraman for animated films. Some of these films will be presented during the evening screening. Viewers can look forward to a diverse selection of films created using different animation techniques.

The program will include, for example, the dark French film Atomic Tour, which combines puppet animation with distinctive compositional and post-production interventions (also available on France TV). Alongside it will be the playful film Mom Is Always Right, created using a combination of cutout and semi-plastic animation on a multiplane. The screening will also feature the film Zůza in the Gardens, winner of the Czech Lion for Best Animated Film, created using the technique of painting on glass. The program will be complemented by the German-Czech children's puppet film Paolo's Glück (available on Disney+).

After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to discuss with Jaroslav Fišer and ask him questions about his collaboration on these films and his broader creative activities.

Previews of these and other films can be found at https://www.jaroslavfiser.cz/video/.

If you are interested, you can watch Atomic Tour on France TV, Paolo's Gluck on Disney+, Mom Is Always Right on Minor TV, and Zůza in the Gardens on DAFilms.

Free admission, voluntary donations welcome.

We look forward to seeing you there.
