Kabbalat Shabbat is a quiet gathering of Friday evening, a moment of transition from the weekdays into Shabbat. Without haste and without excess words - through melody, shared presence, and simple attentiveness to one another.
At Beseder Gallery, Kabbalat Shabbat will be led by Sylvie Wittmann - founder of Bejt Simcha, an active member of the board of the Czech Federation of Jewish Communities, and a lecturer at the Educational and Cultural Center of the Jewish Museum in Prague, as well as in the communities of Plzeň and Liberec.
At Beseder Gallery, Sylvie will lead Kabbalat Shabbat not as a lecture, but as a living encounter - with songs, stories, and the opportunity to join the ritual.
Participation does not require any special preparation; knowledge of the texts is not necessary.
The languages of the gathering are Czech and English; Russian is possible if needed.
