does it swing

We invite you to an interactive jazz concert for the whole family that will get you rocking to the rhythm of swing - at any age!

Jazz that kids will love - and adults will too

Music that has magic. A space that inspires. Artists who mean business - with music and with kids. We invite you to an extraordinary interactive swing concert where cutting-edge jazz music meets children's curiosity and movement. A concert for children that is a joy for adults too.

Music, movement, engagement:
Children are not just spectators at a concert. They will move, sing, listen and create - to the rhythm of swing and under the guidance of experienced teachers. All in a playful, gentle way, respecting their age and mood.

Art and resting zone:
The concert takes place in the middle of the Peter Nikl exhibition - and the artistic experience thus reaches all the senses. There will also be art corners and resting places for children.

Musical quality without compromise:
Three exceptional women - renowned personalities of the Czech music and dance scene - will meet on one stage:

Who's gonna rock you?

Olga Kovaříková
A jazz singer and double bassist whose voice and charisma have won over audiences across generations. Olga is a lecturer in the Czech Philharmonic's educational programmes, where she sensitively introduces music to children and adults. As a music teacher, Olga was awarded 3rd place in the prestigious Global Teacher Prize Czech Republic 2024, which honours outstanding teachers. She is a musician who knows how to combine artistic quality with respect for children's world.

Kristina Barta (Kristýna Bárta Urbánková)
Pianist, composer and a prominent personality of contemporary jazz. Kristina has performed at the world's most important festivals - including Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazzahead!, and Bohemia Jazz Fest. Her style combines her classical musical training with the energy and freedom of jazz improvisation. Critics have described her playing as "fiery, expressive and unrelenting". Her presence ensures that the concert will not be "just for the kids" but a truly artistic experience for the whole family.

Tereza Indráková
Dancer, choreographer and movement instructor with extensive experience from the Czech and international scene. She has worked for example in the prestigious Israeli Batsheva Dance Company under the direction of choreographer Ohad Naharin. She studied choreography at HAMU in Prague (PhD) and Judaic studies at HTF UK. She works not only in dance theatre and improvisation, but also in interdisciplinary projects that combine movement, art and music. She plays the transverse flute and teaches at the Elementary School in Prague 6.

Three personalities. A unique experience.

Their meeting on the same stage promises a concert that brings joy, playfulness and real art - and above all a true understanding of children.
Recommended for children aged 3 to 12, but the whole family is welcome - siblings, parents, grandparents...
