Event date: 4.3.2022 - 17:00
Although Iran and Israel are politically hostile countries, our gallery is a cultural "neutral" space for people-to-people meetings, where art and culture create connections.
This Friday, March 4, 2022, at 17:00 Iranian artist Rihana SG will be happy to meet Israelis (non-Israelis are also welcome:)), show them her work, comment on it, tell about her fate (an amazing story that touches the heart) and answer their questions.
Rihana paints vivid portraits, full of symbols, quite in the spirit of Iranian culture. The portraits show women with long necks. The words and emotions are stuck in them. The words and emotions, which women do not dare to express. Each picture has its own story. As a university student in Tehran, Rihana was forced to leave her native country. Between 2007 and 2013, she lived in Malaysia, where she learned a lot about Asian art, the features of which began to blend with her Middle Eastern style. She moved to Europe in 2013 and currently lives between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
At the exhibition, the artist presents a unique series of brand new paintings created especially for our gallery.
The language of the action is English. For a smoother flow of conversation, an interpreter was not invited this time.
